& The Pearl is the symbol of love. The pearl is formed when a foreign object somehow enters the inside of the oyster, and instead of ejecting the object or irritant out, as most humans would try to do, the object is covered by the oyster with layer upon layer of a substance secreted from it's own body. The object that came into the life of the oyster as an irritant, instead of being cast out is turned into something lovely within the oyster. "We are all an irritant (through our sin) to God, but he accepts us, in spite of our sin. He covers our sin and brings us into His Holy kingdom.

The true value of the pearl is not seen from the outside. To the world around the pearl is just another barnacle covered nasty looking shell. To see the true beauty of the pearl the oyster must die. The oyster is ripped open with a knife in the side, before the true treasure is revealed. The analogy is that We must die to inherit the treasure that God has prepared for us. We will be able to see and be with Him in His beautiful Kingdom, for all eternity.

ritants (sin) into pearls -- if you let Him.

Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

Mat 13:46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

Pearl = gate to God’s dwelling (Rev 21:21) (Eph 2:22)

Great Price = His only begotten son (John 3:16)

Bought it = the body of the believers (1 Cor 6:19-20)

In other words: God paid an infinite price to dwell in the temple of the believer’s body.

Scriptural references:

Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1Co 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

1Co 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

Job 28:18 NOTE: In the beginning chapter 28 Job is describing the treasures found in the earth and how men seek them out…for example: iron is taken from the dust (:2); copper is smelted from rock (:2); rocks are a source for sapphires(:6); dust contains gold….BUT…where can wisdom be found? (:12)

It’s as though Job is saying…pearls are the most valuable, sought after gem…but wisdom is even more precious.
