About The Pearl Heart

What we do

The Pearl Heart is a family-owned business operating in Sandy Lake Pennsylvania. Our goal was to make Shop, that only offers merchandise that is good for the human body, Mind and soul. We are committed to making an honest living, as well as helping to raise funds for charity.
These things are all good, but ultimately our main goal is to make you happy. For if you truly love someone, you want to make them happy. How can we make you happy? Some people say well give us money- or give us some other material item .But Heaven is the only thing that will make you "ultimately " happy. The term Garbage in- Garbage out applies not only to the human body, but to the human soul. There is a spiritual garbage that you can saturate your spirit with like evil music, books, movies and even the people or environment you surround yourself in.

How can we fill our minds with this garbage and not expect to taint our selves with sin. The old term applies, if you soak yourself in manure to long you don't smell like roses.

The devil is like a dog tied on a six foot leash, he can bark at us but he can not attack us unless we are within his reach. The only way you can get within his reach is by sin, because sin is within his domain. He can not hurt us or have power over us unless we walk into his territory, that is by living a sinful life. Temptation can always be at our door, like the barking of a dog, beckoning and inviting us into danger. Yet we can be masters of it for it is written, "Genesis Chapter 4, 7 If you do well, you can hold up your head; but if not, sin is a demon lurking at the door: his urge is toward you, yet you can be his master."

The words seek first the Kingdom of God and all else will follow rolls through my mind like a wave upon the beach.

When I was a child, I never wanted to run a store. I wanted to run. When I was a child, my heart was strong and kindled. Pure. And as time went by and my distance from God was felt, My heart felt its first pierce of pain.

Time became torrents of pain and distance became empty miles, for I had the knowledge of both Good and evil. My heart became hard like the rocks that I studied and the knowledge that was bound by rules and theories committed my spirit to the pale dwelling of the library. Even now, I yearn for that place as a sinner who seeks sanctuary within the chapel. It was not the knowledge that lured me into its arms but the stillness and emptiness of sound. For there I could be close to him. There I could listen, there I could hear him speak within my heart and I could speak to him. Where silence permitted my soul to be refreshed and renewed, even if it was for a brief time. And each time that I opened the doors to leave whether sunlight greeted me or darkness, I was not not afraid.

To work and slave for money.. To be servants of a master which can never be pleased . To seek perfection and become flawed. Money is the tool which evil can utilize, for an eternal stewardship of ruin.

There are many roads to sin. Often it is the road which is unguarded that we become lost upon and eventually completely forsaken. Sin separates us from God. Because God is Goodness, truth, love beauty and unity, He is not evil, falsehood, hatred, ugliness and separation. When we serve what is not God we separate ourselves from him, reaping the harvest of what hell is.

Why do we all yearn to reap countless dollars to fill our homes and lives with treasure, this empties our hearts of all known desire of God.

Is there a moment in the day that I feel I don't need my God? Sometimes like the boorish sheep which I am, I wonder away from my shepard and find myself lost. Though I am free to wonder, there I await in fear. But all fades away when I realize that he was there with me while I was lost. God gives us enough time and energy in the day to do his will. He even gives us enough time in the week to rest for an entire day!.

God gave me the resources to create a small shop for a small town. A Pearl from the Sandy lake.Perhaps its purpose is to help a single person just as a single grain of sand becomes a pearl. The price may be great but there is nothing greater than that.

Family Mission Statement

Our family mission is to work together to ensure the continuation of a work environment that promotes good family living. Our mission embraces love, truth, beauty, light, goodness, and unity.

Our Commitment to the Environment

The Pearl Heart is dedicated to responsible recycling. If the merchandise we sell wasn’t in stores like ours, much of it would end up in our landfills. Buying our used consignment products instead of new saves time, energy and raw materials that would have been spent to make a new item. We are all proud to be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem for the country’s waste management problems.

The clothing and household goods you donate are sold at our retail store and on our Internet auction site, Part of the revenues fund our programs, Race for the Heart and The Pearl Heart Christmas Tree.

Donations may be dropped off at our Shoppe during store hours.

We also buy clothing and household goods during business hours.

We do not accept however, items that are anti-christian or not wholesome for the body and mind.
